The Apostles Were Millennials: Part 1

The Apostle Thomas was a "Millennial." Well, sort of. Most people think of the Apostles as older men walking with Jesus, but in fact they were young adults. Jesus himself went to the Cross at age 33, and his followers were likely much younger!

Here's more proof: 1. He probably had a beard 2. He was unemployed 3. He is known for his FAILURE

The first 2 are humorous, but that last point hits home for me! Thomas is believed to have been martyred while planting churches in India, yet he carries the name "Doubting Thomas." The Millennial generation (of which I am a part of) is slowly going the same route in history. More and more, the focus is on our shortcomings, dismissing us by our failures while often forgetting the potential God sees in the next generation.

So, if you fit into the infamous "Millennial Generation," Here's my encouragement:

1. Rock the beard 2. Get a job 3. Be known by your LOVE

(John 13:35)

"Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples."
