It was a privilege to minister along side Pastor Ralph. I’m a better person as a result of knowing him. We NEED more ministers like him… heaven gets all the good ones.

Please fervently pray for Cheri and their children at this most difficult time.
They are being ministered to by pastors, close friends and family members at this time.

Got the new CDs back from press this morning! You can still pre-order them until Feb 14th... After that, they are officially released! I'm pretty dang exited right now.

One side note- the CD release show (celebration) will be March 22nd at Day 7 @ Harvest. Mark your calendars!

In my opinion, there's nothing more romantic than truly knowing your spouse. It's always cool when an 65 year old husband can finish his wife's sentence before she speaks it, or when a wife knows her husband's favorite dish (even if it's just mac and cheese). There is no closer bond on earth.

So, I'm declaring today "National shoe size day." (If you're confused- listen to my song above). Do you know your spouse's shoe size? Your girlfriend or boyfriend? Today is a good day to learn it! It might just spark a much needed conversation...

Just to update you- we are finished mixing my new CD "Matrimony!" Now all that is left is getting it mastered and copied. I'm going to post the 1st single, "Happily Married", for all to hear very soon. Be sure to check back to be among the first to hear it!

The first single off my new record is a song called "Happily Married." I basically wrote it in rebuttal of the world's current general connotation of Marriage. In a time when the Divorce rate is climbing, and the media offering nothing in the way of redemption for the subject (in fact, quite the opposite), I wanted to make a statement that there are MANY people that still lead a happy marriage (Me being one of them).

I don't, however, want to be the lone voice claiming to speak for everyone. So, I want to hear (and see) from you! What I ask is simple:

Send me photos, stories, and short video footage best representing what you consider "Happily Married." And I will assemble it all into a video, and it will act as the Music Video for my song. It doesn't have to necessarily be your pic/story. Maybe your parents, friends, or grandparents... I'll also post my favorites on my site as they come in. CLICK HERE to participate! Here's your first glimpse into the new CD:

I'm titling the new CD Matrimony. With the subject being very prominent in our social discussions today; and the meaning becoming increasingly veiled by our politically correct society, it just feels right.

Everyone in America is some stage of matrimony at a given time. Whether we're thriving in it, longing for it, running from it, recovering from, or trying to define it- we all have on thing in common... we're all involved in it.

No doubt the most obvious thematic match will be my song "Happily Married", but I intend that when you finish listening for the first time, you''ll understand what I'm after.

Yesterday was my birthday, and being a day that is designated to whatever i desire to do, My wife and I went to see "The Dark Knight" in Imax. We saw it already in standard format, but the second time was even better, but not for the reason you may think. Even though the visuals were awesome in Imax; I found myself more drawn in by Heath Ledger's performance. It's rare that we get a chance to only see the character on screen, and not the actor portraying the character. It happened for me somewhat in watching Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, but Heath Ledger will no doubt forever be our generations "Joker." Hopefully Batman 3 will prove interesting, but has a tremendous act to follow. Maybe Johnny Depp as the Riddler would be cool...

Christopher Laurie, son of Pastor Greg Laurie and Cathe Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, died this morning in a car accident in Riverside. A resident of Huntington Beach, Laurie, 33, served as the art director at Harvest Christian Fellowship for the past three years.

In addition to his parents, Christopher is survived by his wife, Brittany, and daughter, Stella, as well as his brother Jonathan. Christopher and his wife are expecting another daughter in November.

Memorial plans for Christopher are pending. More information will be posted to the Harvest website as details become available. You may pass along condolences and thoughts for the Laurie family by posting a comment on pastor Greg's blog.
