John Mayer - Who Says Lyrics - September 25, 2009

I'm sad to say these are the Lyrics to John Mayer's new song "Who Says." I'm saddened. My response to this song is coming soon. RIP - John Mayer we used to love...

WHO SAYS - LYRICS Who says I can't get stoned? Turn off the lights and the telephone
Me in House alone, Who says I can't get stoned?

Who says I can't be free from all of the things I used to be
Re-write my history, Who says I can't be free?

It's been a long night in New York city
It's been a long night in Baton Rouge
I don't remember you looking any better
but then again I don't remember you

Who says I can't get stoned? Call up a girl that I used to know
Fake love for an hour or so... Who says I can't get stoned?

Who says I can't take time? Meet all the girls on the county line
Wait on fate to send a sign, Who says I can't take time?

It's been a long night in New York city
It's been a long night in Austin too
I don't remember you looking any better
but then again I don't remember you

Who says I can't get stoned? Plan a trip to japan alone
Doesn't matter if I even go, Who says I can't get stoned?

It's been a long night in New York City
It's been a long time since 22
I don't remember you looking any better
but then again I don't remember you

Worship Song - "The Risen King" - August 19, 2009

Here is the latest worship song Demo. As you know, I'm writting songs for my first worship CD. Feedback is welcome! Enjoy!

The Risen King (Demo)
LYRICS:
You laid Your glory down to wear a sinner's crown
Suffered and died for Your creation
The perfect sacrifice, wounded to give us life
You bore it all for our salvation

Blessed is the day; You washed our sins away!

Hallelujah, we will sing
Honor and glory to the Risen King
Death is defeated, and we are saved
Jesus has overcome the grave

So let the music play with shouts of Joy and Praise
Our God has unlocked eternity

My Story (in 5 mins) - August 11, 2009

"Getting Older" Lyrics - August 4, 2009

Getting Older
Since I was 5 years of age
I looked at life as a blank page
But now that I'm older, things have changed

What happened to POGs and Pop Rocks?
We used to wear Fanny Packs and Tank Tops
"Full House" and "Alf" were our favorite shows
We sang of killing purple dinosaurs

CHORUS
I'm getting older, but I'm not scared
No reservasions about loosing all my hair
Cause I can't change the future no matter what i try to do
So I don't mind getting older
As long as it's with You

Oh what did I do? I traded in my GameBoy
For a 5.92 interest rate
We used to eat Mcdonalds and Chocolate cake
But now my biggest fear is gaining weight

CHORUS

There's no reason to worry
The past may seem safer, but today is the day
The Lord has made - Rejoice and be glad in it

CHORUS

Join us - a Voice for Marriage - July 22, 2009

I'm on a mission to send a message! We're pushing the song "Happily Married" up the iTunes charts to give marriage a strong voice in the music world. There are too many discraceful songs out there right now, so lets change the tide...

Help us in 3 simple steps
1. Download the song "Matrimony (Happily Married)"- http://bit.ly/12vzIa 2. Forward this message to your friends/family
3. Pray!

DISCLAIMER: all the money made will go right back into promoting the song. I'm not on a mission to make money - I just really believe in the message.

Matrimony (Happily Married) - Lyrics - July 17, 2009

Got a lot of requests for this. So...

MATRIMONY LYRICS:
I know your favorite color, I can name your shoe size
I'm now confortable around your father
You slept in my T-shirt last night
You whisper my name in my ear, to find if I'm awake
Could you close the window, dear, It's cold and I can't sleep that way
Oh I know it might sound strange, but this feels like heaven to me
2 hearts, rearranged- composing one harmony

Happily Married, Happily Married

I'm taking off my shoes; leaving them on the floor
I know she'll be mad at me, but that's what "I'm sorry" is for
I know it sounds cruel, I should show her more curtousey
But it's hard to keep the rules- she's soo dang cute when she's angry

Happily married, Happily Married
Not just February 14th, not only on Christmas and New Year's eve
I'll cherish and treasure all of the days inbetween...

When we've grown old and wrinkly, and I can't remember my name
After an hour of thinking, I'll still remember yours
I'll love your old age, 'cause it means I've had more time spent with you
And Know , I'm not afraid of the vows I have made
To have and to hold you, to love and adore you, till death do us part
You have my heart, for eternity...

Webcast, Free Music, and You - July 7, 2009

I've found that two things are true in a recession when it comes to music.

1. It's hard to spend the time and money to go to a live performance.

2. It's hard to spend money on CDs.

I WANT TO HELP all you music lovers! I'm making a Free EP. That's right, FREE. It's to say thank you for supporting me, and to give others a chance to hear my music. I'm not in it for money. I feel I have something to say, and that there's hope in it. You'll be able to download it, share it with friends, and post it wherever you like.

To celebrate the release, I'll be doing a free live, interactive webcast on Monday August 3rd. Instead of driving to a venue, paying for food/gas/parking, you can sit and enjoy the show at home, while interacting with us Live! It will be hosted right here. Make sure you're on the email list to get updated!

Raymond Gregory - Matrimony

In Memory of Michael Wright - June 30, 2009

My brother Michael's birthday is today. He's in heaven. We're not able to celebrate with him because of the HIV virus. He contracted it at birth from his "biological mother." This is sadly common among many foster children. We were blessed to welcome him to our family at age 1- 1/2, and loved him (and still do) till he left us to live in heaven 6 years later.

I wrote the song "Say Goodbye" for him, and all the procceeds from that song go to help foster children just like Michael. If you want to help, just download the song from iTUNES. 99 cents will go a surprisingly long way!
